Review of the National Geographic Fm Walkie Talkie
Right from the start we have to say that these Walkie Talkie’s are designed for kids to use with their local friends, these are not in any way professional handsets, also please note that this product is NOT suitable for children under the age of 36 months.
Having said the above these handheld walkie talkie’s are a great toys for kids to keep in touch with neighbours or mates. The product is lightweight and very easy to use, and can be used up to a distance of 500 meters (line of sight). Requiring two 9 volt (PP9) batteries which are not included. Featuring a call alert/morse code button which is useful to know when someone is calling you, and also a LED power indicator. Also included is a volume control on/off switch. Belt clips which make them very convenient for on the move fun. A full instruction manual is also included.
Our Verdict – A perfect handset for the kids to start out with, they will have some fun. We recommend that these are not suitable for children under the age of 4. Be aware that the battery useage is quite heavy and we recommend using rechargeable batteries with a charger.Excellent purchase for the money.

“Works well but batteries expensive, hope they last a long time. 4 year old took a little time to understand the buttons 6 year old understood it easily.”
